1. Rumpl Blanket
The. best. blanket. ever. I’m forever a fan of these. Like, seriously, I’m wrapped in it right now. 😃
Camping, road trips, relaxing on the couch, climbing in bed at home…it’s officially my go-everywhere blanket.
They’ve also got some pretty amazing patterns and colors available now, too, that make perfect gifts for outdoor lovers!
You can't go wrong with The Original Puffy from Rumpl. If you prefer a blanket with a little more weight than down, The Original is a great choice. While not as compact and lightweight as The Down Blanket, it's still warm and cozy, perfect for camping or sitting around the fire.
The Down Blanket packs down compactly and provides excellent warmth. When I say my Rumpl comes with me everywhere, I'm not joking. Camping, early morning car rides for snowboarding, sitting on the couch catching up on my favorite shows...this thing is by my side.
2. Matador Packable Beach Towel
Another gift at a reasonable price is a quick-dry towel. We have a few different brands, but they have so many different uses.
They’re perfect for traveling light because they take up so little room and absorb water so well. Plus, they’re perfect for those really big messes. We have a few that are dedicated to just cleaning up the really dirty stuff, like feet and wet dogs.
We came across these beach towels from Matador x Volcom on a trip to Maui and fell in love. They are extremely lightweight, store in their own zipper and are perfect for travel, camping, paddleboarding, or hiking to a lake or river. Made from nanofiber, it dries extremely quick and absorbs more water than I thought possible (2.3 times its weight!)
3. Garmin InReach Mini 2
A great option for any outdoorsy person, the Garmin InReach Mini allows you to set up communication with a safety contact during your off-grid adventures. If you’re looking for an amazing gift for the outdoorsy friends and family members in your life, this is a solid win.
For extra peace of mind on outdoor adventures, the Garmin inReach Mini 2 is a great choice. Use it for two-way communication and to send an SOS in an emergency.
4. Black Diamond Headlamp
A great option for any outdoorsy person, the Garmin InReach Mini allows you to set up communication with a safety contact during your off-grid adventures. If you’re looking for an amazing gift for the outdoorsy friends and family members in your life, this is a solid win.
We're huge fans of our Black Diamond headlamps and this model is one of our top picks because it includes dimming and a red light function. Plus, you have the option of using alkaline OR rechargeable batteries.
5. Vortex Optics Diamondback Binoculars
Binoculars come in handy for many things like watching wildlife and watching sports. We have this pair of Vortex Diamondbacks that we ended up getting for our trip to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park entirely by accident when we forgot ours at home….oops!
If you're looking for a higher quality pair of binoculars, you can't go wrong with the Vortex Diamondback HD Binoculars. We have them in the 12x50 and are extremely happy with them. They were perfect for spotting wildlife in the distance at Yellowstone and Grand Teton and we regularly use them during hikes and other outdoor adventures.
6. Darn Tough Socks
If you’re looking for a practical gift that pretty much all outdoor enthusiasts can appreciate, Darn Tough Socks are a great gift idea. These merino wool socks are perfect for every outdoor adventurer – whether that includes day hikes, a camping trip, or other outdoor adventures.
Keeping feet dry and warm is crucial to comfort when you’re out and about outdoors. When the weather starts to turn cool, they are pretty much a staple in my wardrobe. Darn Tough is one of our top brands because of their high quality and wide variety of styles to fit almost any outdoor activity you can think of.
They are cozy, warm, durable, and even have a lifetime guarantee. Seriously. If they don’t hold up, they’ll send you a new pair!
Hands down (feet down?! 😝), our favorite socks for hiking (and lots of other activities) are Darn Tough. Wool socks help regulate temperature while keeping feet dry, which is essential on outdoor adventures. We also love that they're still made in the US (Vermont). Plus, you can't beat their lifetime warranty!
I love that Darn Tough socks come in a wide variety of styles and weights for adventuring in different conditions. These lightweight crew socks are my go-to choice with my Oboz hiking boots for most hikes in fall, winter, and spring.
Darn Tough is our favorite for adults, but they also make kid's socks too! We recommend pairing wool socks with waterproof shoes or boots, especially for hiking in colder weather. Wool socks for kids are a great choice because they keep little feet warm and wick moisture away from the skin while still being breathable.
7. Nomadix Towel
The Original Towel from Nomadix is a versatile piece of outdoor gear that can be used in a variety of settings. We really love the creative designs of this brand!
At 72.5" x 30", the Original Towel line from Nomadix is a multi-purpose towel that can be used as a pool or beach towel, yoga towel, and more. It comes in a wide variety of colors and designs, is made from post-consumer recycled materials, is sand-resistant, and can absorb 4 times as much as cotton towels.
8. Owala Water Bottle
An insulated bottle that actually keeps your water ice cold when it’s hot outside? Yes, please!
The FreeSip from Owala is my favorite large-capacity (32 oz or 40 oz, though it does come in smaller sizes) water bottle at the moment. I love the versatility of the straw and sipping spout, it keeps my water cold for hours and is easy to clean. My only complaint is that the large sizes don't fit in a standard car cup holder (but the 24 oz does).
9. Hydroflask Water Bottle
Hydro Flask water bottles and food containers are another excellent gift for outdoor adventurers. They’ll keep hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold for hours so you’re always enjoying your beverages at the correct temp.
We love double walled stainless steel water bottles to refill when we're camping and traveling. Among all the brands we've tried, Hydro Flask is one of our top choices, in fact, we have several that we've owned for over 7-8 years that are still going strong. 🙌
10. ICEMULE BOSS

13. LEKI Jannu Hiking Poles
A great gift for hikers is a pair of quality hiking poles that are lightweight and sturdy. We prefer options that telescope or fold down for more compact carrying when they aren’t needed.
LEKI Jannu Hiking Poles
These lightweight hiking poles from Leki telescope down into a small package that's easy to carry when not in use. They adjust from 90cm up to 125cm to accommodate different heights and have ergonomic handles for comfort.
14. Osprey Hydraulics Water Reservoir
Another great gift for your outdoor-loving friend is a hydration pack. They come in handy for a variety of outdoor activities and we’ve never been upset at having an extra one or two around for friends or in case one gets a leak.
Osprey Hydraulics Backpack Water Reservoir
I recently replaced an old water reservoir with this one from Osprey and I'm so happy I made this choice. I love how easy this one is to fill and seal without leaking. It also has a handy magnetic clip to allow you to clip your hose to your sternum strap for easy access.

16. LifeStraw Personal Water Filter
When out and about in the wilderness, having drinkable water is a must. Although you should always carry water, a LifeStraw is perfect for filtering water in an emergency or when you have no other option. We have one we take with us on our hikes just in case. It’s available in a straw or a water bottle option.
LifeStraw Peak Water Filter Straw
Even when we're heading out on a day hike, we like to take a water filter with us just in case. These compact water filter straws from LifeStraw are the perfect size to add to your pack as an extra layer of safety on day hikes or for backup filtration on longer trips.
17. All Trails Pro Membership
One of the apps we use regularly for researching trails is
With the Pro membership, you have:
- the ability to download maps and see your exact GPS location
- off-route notifications
- real-time map details (air quality, satellite weather, user heatmaps, etc)
- the ability to print a backup, no ads, and one of my favorite features: Lifeline.
Lifeline allows you to set up a safety net of contacts in case things don’t go as planned. You can share your planned route, start and stop times, and more.
If your planned finish time has passed, Lifeline will alert your contacts with your last known location from your data signal. If you’ve lost signal, your location details will be delayed, but can still be helpful information in an emergency.
🎁 Gift an AllTrails Membership
18. Gaia GPS Premium Membership
Another app we use extensively for hiking and camping research, especially less traveled trails and boondocking sites is Gaia GPS.
The Premium version allows you to download offline maps, print custom maps for backup, access all maps in the app, and layer maps together (such as NPS maps and snow depth). Get 20% off with promo code: STOKE
Best Gifts for Campers
19. Helinox Chair Zero
A comfy seat is a necessity for camping, and we love this chair for its versatility. It’s lightweight, comfortable, and easy to put together. I love that it fits into a carry sack about the size of a Nalgene bottle!
We added these chairs to our camping gear earlier this year, and we love them! I especially like their versatility - they're comfortable enough for car camping while taking up minimal space and still being light enough to carry on a hiking or backpacking adventure.
20. Bite Away Heat Pen
If you’re looking for a gift for the outdoor adventurer who is also a mosquito magnet, this is for you! A couple of years ago, I learned about this awesome medical-grade device to relieve itching and swelling from bug bites, and it’s been such a game changer.
Essentially the heat from Bite Away tricks your brain and distracts it from the annoying itch. It is also thought to prevent the release of histamine from your mast cells. In combination, these work to reduce itching and swelling – pretty cool, right?
I found out about bite away a couple of years ago and it goes on every hike and vacation with us now. It works to reduce itch from insect bites by heating up (it's warm, but not scalding hot) to trigger a natural response from your body to make those pesky bites less annoying.
Even my 11-year-old uses and loves it!
21. Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System
We bought the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp to replace our old (seriously, vintage) Coleman camp stove, and I couldn’t be happier. I love the precise control it gives me that mimics my home stove and the option to couple it with other JetLink compatible stoves.
We've had the Jetboil Genesis Basecamp System for a few years and absolutely love it. It packs together easily in its included carrying case, boils water in around three minutes with a 10,000 BTU burner, and gives me more control over the temp than any other camp stove we've used.
22. Selk’Bag Wearable Sleeping Bag
If you or the outdoor lover in your life is always gold, this is one you’ll want to check out! My husband bought me one of these a couple of years ago, and it’s awesome.
It’s easy to layer over baselayers or regular clothes around camp for extra warmth and has a permanent home in my camping gear.
It also works great as extra insulation inside another sleeping bag on those extra frosty nights.
This innovative "wearable sleeping bag" from Selk is a staple in my adventure gear. I love the durable footies it has to keep my feet warm, but I especially love the ability to zip them off when I need to wear regular shoes. It's comfortable and so warm for cold-weather adventures!
23. Gazelle G6 Screen Tent
If you’ve ever been attacked by mosquitos or yellow jackets at camp, you know how handy a screen room can be. We’ve had this one for a couple of years and I love how quick and easy it is to pop up.
We’ve used this one at camp for bug protection, light rain cover, and even on the beach for a sun shade. It comes with a storage back for easy transport but is a bit on the heavy side to carry long distances.
If you’re looking for a lighter-weight sun shade for the beach and don’t need bug protection, I’d recommend this Neso tent instead.
This is the screen room we chose for ourselves and we love it! It's easy to set up (I can do it solo), sturdy, and works great to keep out the bugs and protect us from rain.
24. Mountain Hardwear Bishop Pass Sleeping Bag
For an outdoorsy person, one thing that is sure to make them a happy camper is a good, quality sleeping bag that will keep you warm and cozy at night. It’s one of the camping essentials that I consider the most important.
I’ve tested out this one from REI and really loved it, but ultimately ended up with the Mountain Hardwear Bishop Pass 0°F bag as my main sleeping bag.
Having a sleeping bag that keeps you warm and cozy can make or break a camping trip. Personally, I tend to sleep cold so I prefer a 0°F bag most of the time. The Bishop Pass from Mountain Hardwear is warm with plenty of loft. I really love the draft collar and two-way zipper to help me regulate temperature.
25. Leatherman Signal Camping Multitool
Having the tools you need in a compact package can be super helpful when you’re hiking or camping.
Try the Signal Camping Multitool from Leatherman with a fire starter rod and emergency whistle. Or, for a more budget-friendly option, this one from Gerber would be a good choice.
Having a multitool and/or knife on camping and hiking adventures is a must. It comes in handy for all sorts of tasks, including making fires, cutting twine or string for shelters, and more. The Signal Multitool from Leatherman has plenty of features for your adventures, including a fire starter, hammer, emergency whistle, and more.
26. Goal Zero Crush Light Solar Powered Lantern
Solar-powered lights are extremely handy for camping and outdoor adventures. In terms of outdoorsy gifts, this is one that pretty much everyone can use – even if they already have one. We have one, but I know we would love to have a couple more!
This lightweight solar lantern from Goal Zero is perfect for outdoor adventurers. It collapses to store easily in small spaces, and the Chroma version has several settings, including different colors - a huge hit with kids!
27. Aeropress Coffee Maker
For coffee & outdoor lovers, having an easy option for making the life-giving brew every morning is essential. We LOVE the instant coffee from B & W Coffee Roasters or Olympia Coffee when we need to pack light or be super quick in the mornings. We’ve tried so many terrible instant coffees over the years, and these are in a completely different class! We always try to have some on hand for our adventures.
However, for a more traditional coffee experience, an
If you're like me and kind of wish you could pack your espresso machine when you camp, you'll love the AeroPress. It's easy to use and makes a strong, smooth coffee that won't make you feel like you're missing out.
28. Goal Zero Yeti Power Station
We have the Yeti 1500X in our camper, and it’s been awesome. It is paired with our solar panels and helps us keep our fridge and other necessities powered up on the go.
If you don’t need the same high capacity to power large items but still want a great option to keep your devices charged, the 200X would be a great choice.
A portable power station is helpful when camping or traveling to keep necessary (and not-so-necessary 😆) devices charged and ready to go. This model from Goal Zero can charge a variety of devices with it's multiple ports that include USB, USC, 12V, and standard outlet.
We have this power station in our truck camper to keep everything up and running. It handles everything from our fridge to charging our cell phones on the go!
29. The Dyrt Pro Membership
The Dyrt is designed to help campers find the best campsites, whether they prefer camping in a tent, RV, or even a cabin. While it has a lot of free features as well, a Pro Membership provides access to downloadable maps, offline searches, and discounts on gear and campsites.
Gifts for Outdoor and Adventure Photographers
30. Peak Design Capture Clip
The Capture Clip from Peak Design is a staple in my camera gear. It has two pieces – a clip that attaches to your backpack strap (or belt or bag) and a plate that attaches to your camera.
When not using the camera, you just slip the plate into the clip and lock it into place. I love that it keeps my camera easy to grab, but securely held in place while we’re hiking or moving around on adventures.
I’ve had the Peak Design Capture Clip for a couple of years now and it’s a game changer! It makes capturing photos on hikes so much easier. Instead of a strap swinging around or having to dig into my bag multiple times, it securely clips into place on my backpack strap and keeps my camera easy to reach.
31. SanDisk Extreme Pro Memory Card
One thing that photographers can always use more of is memory cards. You’ll want to double-check and find out what kind of card their camera uses, but many will use standard SD cards. This is the type of card I prefer because it writes quickly and can easily capture both images and video. It comes in a variety of storage capacity options, but I tend to choose the 32 GB or 64 GB version for most situations.
The SanDisk Extreme Pro Memory Cards are my top choice for my camera. The fast write speed means I can capture images as fast as my kids move. 😅
32. Sony Alpha 7IV Full-frame Mirrorless Camera
Looking for a camera for the outdoor adventurer in your life? We highly recommend the Sony mirrorless lineup. I started with the AS400 which is a crop sensor, but smaller and more affordable. I’d recommend it for a more budget-friendly option or for those just getting started.
But if you have the budget, I would recommend the a7iv. It is a full-frame mirrorless and I absolutely adore it. Both are incredible cameras for outdoor adventurers, so either would be a great option to put under the tree.
The Sony A7IV is my current camera that comes on every adventure. It has 33MP and up to 4k video at 60p. I love the Real-time Eye AF that makes it easier to get a clear image (even when my kids don't hold perfectly still).
33. WANDRD PRVKE
Looking for a camera backpack that can carry even more and has additional support? The WANDRD PRVKE is a great choice for the outdoors person who loves both photography and travel.
It has a computer sleeve, plenty of room for a tripod, camera, multiple lenses, and any other gear you need. I even use it hiking regularly.
My only complaint is that it doesn’t have a water reservoir pocket, but it does have an exterior pocket that works for a water bottle. It’s perfect for the outdoor adventurer or traveler in your life who also loves photography.
The WANDRD PRVKE is an excellent travel backpack for adventurers - and is comfortable enough for hiking too. Optional camera cubes and accessories protect your camera while leaving you plenty of room for the essentials.
34. WANDRD FERNWEH
I love my WANDRD gear and this bag is on my personal wishlist. The FERNWEH is designed for adventures, such as backpacking, but is also created to house and protect your camera gear while you’re on the go.
The WANDRD FERNWEH is designed for backpacking and other adventures with room to carry along your photography essentials.
35. Remote Shutter
One of the best photography tools I’ve purchased is our remote shutter. It allows me to set up the camera and then actually be in photos with everyone else. 🙌
This is the wireless camera remote that I have used with both my Sony A6400 and A7IV. It works great and has a good range that allows me to get images I otherwise wouldn't be able to.
36. Peak Design Carbon Fiber Camera Tripod
A tripod is an essential part of my photography gear. It holds the camera for those times when I need to use the remote shutter but also allows me to take long exposures of waterfalls and play around a bit with night photography. There are a ton of tripod options out there, but I settled on the carbon fiber version from Peak Designs because of its stellar reputation, great warranty, and customer service, as well as the innovative design.
It’s a bit of an investment, but it can hold up to literally anything I throw its way. I can set it up in the water at the base of a waterfall with no worries of rust, it is more lightweight than many other materials, and it collapses into an easy-to-carry size for hiking and adventures.
The carbon fiber tripod from Peak Design is durable and sturdy enough to support full size cameras, collapses into a small package, and even has an adaptor to mount your cell phone as well.
37. Sony Alpha a6400 Mirrorless Camera
As I mentioned earlier, the Sony Alpha a6400 is a great choice for an entry level mirrorless camera. You still get plenty of options, the ability to change lenses, and a lightweight package. The biggest compromise is the crop sensor instead of the full frame of the a7IV.
The a6400 from Sony with the 18-135mm lens is a solid entry pick into the mirrorless arena. It was my first mirrorless camera and I loved it. The screen flips up which also makes it popular with content creators. With 24 MP in a lightweight package (14.3 oz for the body), it's easy to carry for travel and adventures.
38. GoPro Hero 12 Black
We’ve had GoPro’s for capturing video on our adventures for years. They’re durable, easy to use, lightweight, and waterproof!
The Hero 12 Black is the newest model from GoPro that captures HDR video in 5.3k and 4k, improves thermal performance, and has upgraded video stabilization.
Gifts for Paddleboarders
39. OutdoorMaster Shark SUP Pump
For those who love paddleboarding, an electric pump can come in handy – especially if you have more than one to pump at a time. While we can actually pump one by hand in approximately the same time as an electric pump, it’s another story when we’re pumping four at a time. 😅
This pump is ideal for inflatable stand-up paddleboards and comes with different size tips to accommodate a variety of brands. It operates with a 12V DC connection making it perfect for pumping up in the parking lot when you arrive at your destination.
40. Dry Bags or Dry Sacks: Sea to Summit 3-Piece Set
Dry bags or dry sacks are perfect for those who love outdoor adventures, especially for those who like to paddleboard or kayak! They’ll keep your gear dry – even if you aren’t. 😅
We use dry bags regularly on our adventures. They're perfect for keeping valuables dry when backpacking, camping, and paddleboarding. We also love using them to isolate dirty or wet clothes from clean clothes when we travel.
41. Bajío Sunglasses
Earlier this year, Bajío sent me a pair of sunglasses to try out, and I have to say I’m impressed! Originally designed for anglers, they’ve paid close attention to details that make visibility in and around the water better.
While I’m not big into fishing myself, I love water activities like paddleboarding, and my youngest has taken up an interest in fishing, so they have come in extremely handy.
They are very lightweight and comfortable on my face and make paddleboarding in the bright sun more enjoyable. I definitely noticed I could see through the water more easily and reflections and glare were reduced.
Bajio sunglasses are designed with anglers in mind, but are great for any activity on the water. They reduce glare and reflections, making visibility on the water better, while also giving you better depth perception.
42. Inflatable Paddleboard: Fanatic Ray Air
If you’re looking for an inflatable paddleboard for someone on your holiday shopping list, the Fanatic Ray Air is an awesome pick.
I’ve been extremely happy with the construction and design of mine – so much so, we ended up with more of them last year for the rest of the family. See our full breakdown and review of the Fanatic Ray Air SUP lineup.
The Fanatic Ray Air (Pure Edition) is perfect for paddlers ready to graduate to a touring board or those who want something to grow with them.
43. ICEMULE Jaunt
The ICEMULE Jaunt is a conveniently sized backpack cooler that is ideal for carrying a few drinks and snacks with you on your paddleboard. It fits easily under bungee cords on the nose or tail of paddleboards and the backpack style makes it easy to carry along with your board to the water. Read our full review here.
The ICEMULE Jaunt is small but mighty with all the essential features of a high-performing backpack cooler.
Gifts for Adventure Travelers
44. Kindle Paperwhite
For someone who loves to read and travel, the Kindle Paperwhite is an excellent gift. I’ve had the original version for years, and just upgraded to the newest model. I love that it’s lightweight, has a long battery life, and makes it easy to have as many books as I need in an easy-to-transport package.
A Kindle Paperwhite is my favorite way to take books on my travels and adventures. I can have hundreds of books at my fingertips in a lightweight device, which is awesome. But my favorite feature is that I can even read in bright sun without glare. 🙌
45. VentureBoard Travel Chess Set
If you know someone who loves travel and chess, the VentureBoard Travel Chess Set is a no brainer. Designed to go anywhere you go, the Venture Board is a roll-up travel chess board with magnetic pieces that allows you to start and stop your game no matter where you are.
VentureBoard is a travel chess set that is truly designed to go anywhere. It’s small enough to fit into a cup holder or water bottle pocket on your backpack, and magnetic pieces stay in place so you can roll it up in the middle of a game and pick back up exactly where you left off.
46. Cotopaxi Allpa Travel Pack
For adventure travelers, the Cotopaxi Allpa is a great gift idea. I’ve been eyeing it for the last couple of years (while kinda hoping one of our suitcases would break so I’d have an excuse to finally grab one 😝). It has ample pockets for organization, two different sizes, is carry-on friendly, and comes in a variety of colors.
The Cotopaxi Allpa opens like a suitcase with a full zipper compartment on the right and a divided compartment on the left. In addition, it has a spot for your laptop and tablet, lash straps, additional pockets, and tuck-away backpack and waist straps. It even comes with a rain cover!
47. WANDRD VEER 18L
The WANDRD VEER is a versatile travel backpack perfect for carrying the essentials on a hike and protecting a camera in a lightweight package. It packs up into it’s own top pocket, making it ideal for travel. I often toss it in my suitcase on travels because it pulls triple duty as a camera bag, hiking pack, or even an extra bag to bring back souvenirs. Plus, it has a killer guarantee. Want more info? Check out our full review of the VEER 18L.
The WANDRD VEER is an innovative, packable backpack with an optional inflatable camera cube designed to travel with you anywhere you go.
48. Packing Cubes
Packing cubes are an excellent gift idea for anyone who loves to travel. We use packing cubes all. the. time. And having extras is always a good thing.
Whether flying, road-tripping, or camping, they’re a great way to organize and pack more gear in a smaller space.
We love these packing cubes for organizing our gear in our suitcases and in our camper. Tip: Grab a different color for everyone in your house. Then, when you pack light and share suitcases or storage space in your camper, it’s easy to grab the right cube every time.
49. Sony Wireless Noise Canceling Headphones
I’ve had my Sony Noise Canceling Headphones for a few years and I love them. When traveling on a plane, they are my preferred headphones because they are comfortable, the sound quality is great, and they block out more plane noise than other options I’ve tried.
These Sony Noise Canceling Headphones have great sound quality, are comfortable, and do a great job of blocking out excess noise. I love using mine while working, flying on a plane, or even in the evenings at camp if our neighbors are a little noisy.
50. Roadtrippers Pro Membership
One of our favorite roadtrip planners is Roadtrippers. We love that it allows you to create multi-stop itineraries, download maps for offline use, and collaborate with friends. Learn how to use Roadtrippers in this article, or watch the video below to learn more.
Outdoor Gifts for Him
If you’re looking for something a little more specific, next up is a list of gifts for outdoorsy men – though, truth be told, most of these would be a good idea for all nature lovers as well.
51. Waterproof Portable Speaker: Bose SoundLink Flex
One of the things my husband packs on EVERY vacation is our Bose portable bluetooth speaker. If you’re looking for a useful idea for the outdoorsy man in your life and they don’t already have one, this is a great gift option!
It’s easy to pack, the sound quality is great, and because it’s waterproof, it can literally be used just about anywhere.
The Bose SoundLink Flex is an ideal speaker to include on your adventures. It’s waterproof, portable, and has a built-in microphone and rechargeable battery. Plus, you’ll get the excellent sound quality Bose is known for.
52. BrüMate Hopsulator Trio 3-in-1
I don’t know anyone who loves the outdoors and doesn’t love a good coozie or insulated drink container – and the BrüMate Hopsulator Trio 3-in-1 is both!
It can be a coozie for 16-oz cans or 12-oz cans. With 12-oz cans, it also has a freezable “adapter” that helps keep your drink even colder. In addition, you can use it as a 16-oz insulated tumbler. The lid also locks into place, making it leakproof.
I have one myself, and I use it for everything from coffee and hot tea to canned drinks and cocktails.
The BrüMate Hopsulator Trio 3-in-1 is super convenient when you’re packing light for a trip or looking for a single cup that can do it all at camp. It can be used for hot coffee, cold beers, or even as a tumbler for soda or cocktails. I love mine!
53. Cotopaxi Fuego Hooded Down Jacket
The Cotopaxi Fuego Hooded down Jacket comes in a variety of fun colors with 800-fill down and also has a DWR ripstop shell for durability and water resistance.
This is another down puffy jacket we love. With 800 fill and a DWR finish, this jacket is ideal for cold weather in the PNW. It also packs conveniently into one of it's pockets for portability.
54. Patagonia Capilene Cool Daily Hoody
Another great find is this Capilene Cool Daily Hoody from Patagonia. It’s lightweight, breathable, and dries quickly making it a great layer for a variety of temperatures and conditions.
55. Prana Stretch Zion Pants
When we’re hiking, the pants my husband reaches for most often are his Stretch Zion Pants from Patagonia. They are durable, comfortable, and have just enough stretch to move easily with you on the trail.
The Stretch Zion Pants from prAna are perfect for outdoor adventures. They are comfortable, made with PFAS-free DWA fabric, and move with you. They wash and dry easily and hold up great.
Outdoor Gifts for Her
56. Down Puffy Skirt: Skhoop Kari Mini Skirt
Boost your warmth with a puffy skirt. They are a great addition to your cold-weather gear to go over leggings or a baselayer for warmth where you need it most. A puffy skirt has been a game changer for me before and after a day on the slopes.
I love a warm down skirt over a baselayer, especially on snowboarding days. Once my snowboarding bibs, or pants, come off I love layering on a skirt for the ride home, dinner, or any other activities we have planned for the day. Cute and functional!
57. Female Urination Device: Tinkle Belle
Let’s talk about pee. Yup. I’m going there. Somehow, as a mom of boys, this is an issue that no one else in our house seems to appreciate.
But, the reality is when you’re a female and are far away from the bathroom and need to pee, the last thing you want to do when it’s freezing is drop everything to squat. Thankfully, there are people out there who thought up a killer solution. You might have heard them called female urination devices or pee funnels. You may have even heard different brand names such as the SheWee or Tinkle Belle.
I researched a ton of options and ended up buying the Tinkle Belle for myself. I picked it because reviews stated how easy it was to use, that overflow was less of an issue with it than others and the fact that it has a built-in “squeegee” lip negating the need for toilet paper. Believe it or not, that feature works amazingly well! My only complaint is that it’s not super compact, but it would be hard to pack the capacity and length into a smaller package, so I’m not complaining. Contrary to popular belief, length does matter here…no one wants to pee on themselves!
I’ve become a firm believer that every woman who enjoys outdoor activities needs one of these!
58. Baselayers: Airblaster Merino Ninja Suit
Staying warm always seems to be more challenging for women (or at least me). I have and LOVE several Airblaster Ninja Suits. They are my go-to on camping nights and often for snowboarding. For hiking, however, I prefer tops and bottoms separate in case I need to shed layers on the trail. Here are a few suggestions from brands I’ve used over the years.
The merino Ninja Suit from Airblaster is a comfy baselayer perfect for snowboarding and other winter adventures. Plus, it makes pretty awesome PJ's for camping. 😉
59. Puffy Down Vest: Mountain Hardwear Women’s Rhea Ridge Vest
If Mama ain’t happy, ain’t nobody happy…
Let’s face it, no one enjoys being too cold. That’s why a good down vest is always great when the weather is chilly, but you may not need a full puffy jacket. And, it doesn’t have to only be for mama. 😉
Some days a full down jacket is too much and I reach for a down vest instead. It provides warmth to your core, but can prevent overheating on those in between days.
60. Lululemon Cargo Super-High-Rise Hiking Tight
These Cargo Super-High-Rise Hiking Tights from lululemon are a perfect outdoor gift for her. I love hiking in leggings, but am always worried about them snagging or tearing on a random branch or rock.
Enter these lululemon hiking tights. Made from abrasion-resistant fabric, they are designed to avoid damage as you tackle the trails.
Note: Currently out of stock in the full tights, but available in shorts.
The lululemon Cargo Super-High-Rise Hiking Tight (& Short) is made for the trails from fabric that resists abrasions, while still wicking sweat, and stretching to move with you as you hike.
Outdoor Gifts for Kids
61. Eno Double Nest Hammock
Several years ago, we got our kids eno hammocks for Christmas and I’m still patting myself on the back for this one. Because they won’t grow out of them, can be used just about anywhere, and are durable, their eno hammocks are one of the few gifts that continue to get used year after year.
There are both Single Nest and DoubleNest options to choose from. Either is great, but the DoubleNest provides more versatility, room for a friend, and (we think) a more comfy hangout spot.
The eno DoubleNest Hammock is one of our favorite outdoor accessories. It’s durable, comfortable, and easy to use for a comfy place to hang out and relax. Plus they come in fun colors and prints. 🙌 We all have our own, and they go with us on every camping trip - and even hiking or traveling on occasion!
💡 Be sure to grab a compatible suspension system like the Atlas or Helios to secure your hammock to trees or anchor points.
62. Magnifying Glass
What kid doesn’t enjoy taking a closer look at nature? These make great stocking stuffers, and it always amazes us how the kids love to change their perspective and see the details on plants, leaves, and bugs.
63. Slackers Deluxe Ninjaline Kit
A few years ago, some friends introduced us to a slackline ninja kit on a camping trip, and it was perfect! All the kids loved it and spent HOURS playing, creating their own games, and entertaining themselves. Genius!
A slackline obstacle course is so much fun for kids and a perfect activity for camping trips or even in the backyard! This option from Slackers has 9 obstacles for various options and fun. I love that the webbing is UV resistant, and they use sturdy delta safety clips to increase safety and durability.
64. Baselayer: Youth Airblaster Ninja Suit
What kid (or adult, for that matter) doesn’t like a baselayer that’s called a Ninja Suit?! Grab your little grom one of the best baselayers we have ever tried. Like seriously, everyone in our house has at least two.
One of the baselayers we keep coming back to over and over is the Airblaster Ninja Suit, especially for the kids. It's one-piece, super comfortable, easy to get on and off, and has a zipper at the waist for easy bathroom trips. Our kids are huge fans of the fun designs as well - pizza suit anyone?!
65. REI Co-op Tarn Backpack
When on an adventure or hike, nothing makes a kid feel more important than having his own backpack for their supplies. It’s the perfect place to store everything they need to explore their world. Our boys love carrying their own and, especially, being in control of their own snacks. Make them love it even more with their own water bladders like mom and dad. Here are some great options to consider.
If you're looking for a hiking pack for your kids, we LOVE the Tarn. It comes in both an 18L for older kids and a 12L for the smaller kiddos. They are reasonably priced, have plenty of pockets for gear and treasures, and even have a water bladder pocket. Our boys have had these packs for at least 5 years and they are still in great shape! We only had to swap for our oldest because he's growing too fast. 😅
66. The North Face Recon Backpack
As our oldest grew, he needed a bigger backpack and we wanted something that could pull double duty. This was it! The North Face Recon Pack can easily carry all of his school gear and even has a laptop sleeve, but also works great for day hikes.
Outdoor Gifts for Families
67. Rumpl Everywhere Mat Ground Cover
Families who love the outdoors will appreciate a quality ground cover mat. Whether it’s for an afternoon picnic, a day at the beach, camping, or even a dry place to stand in the ski resort parking lot, we’re always reaching for an option that’s easy to pack and keeps us dry – and the Rumpl Everywhere Mat does exactly that!
The Rumpl Everywhere Mat is stain-resistant and has a waterproof bottom to prevent moisture from seeping through. I love that it comes with its own attached carrying case and has hidden corner stash pockets with zippers - perfect for small items you want to conceal and secure.
68. Portable Games for Camping and Travel
When we are camping or just hanging out with family, it’s often we will pull out the games. Some of our favorites we have played are BulziBucket, Spike Ball, Suspend, Farkle, Play Nine, or good old-fashioned Playing Cards.
We love to take BulziBucket with us when we camp or to other outdoor gatherings. It's a simple game to learn, easy to set up, and perfect to play at a campsite.
This game stays in a small bin we always take camping with us. It's compact and a ton of fun without being complicated. Essentially, it's a balance game where you roll a die, then place the corresponding color on the tower without toppling it over.
We love taking Farkle with us on road trips and camping trips to play as a family or with friends. My only word of caution is that the dice can seem super loud in a campground at night, so we typically reserve this one for daytime play. 😉
For kids 8+ and adults, this is a super fun game that travels easily and takes up little space in our small game bin we take camping and on road trips. To win, you'll use a bit of strategy to end up with the lowest score at the end of the game.

69. Solo Stove
A Solo Stove is a must-have for families who love spending time outside. Whether they love hanging out in their backyard or camping, the Solo Stove Ranger is a great option! We love using ours and that it’s big enough for people to circle around in the backyard, but small enough to take car camping.
Solo Stoves are awesome becuase they burn mostly smokeless and still put out heat. They come in several sizes and the Ranger (15 in (diameter) x 12.5 in (height)) is their smaller, portable fire pit ideal for camping.

71. Acon Air Trampoline
A great way for the kids to burn off that extra energy. Plus, it’s a great workout that everyone in the family can do. We have the Acon Air with Premium Enclosure and are huge fans. The bounce is great, the safety net is on the inside of the springs, and the quality is wonderful. So far, we’ve had it about a year and it still looks brand new.
A few years ago, we bought this trampoline for our backyard. It's a great way for the kids to get ready for snowboarding and hiking seasons. It's a great cardio workout and builds leg strength. You can also add a trampoline board to practice for snowboarding as well.
72. Lift Tickets or Season Passes to Their Local Mountain
We try to buy our season passes during the spring sale, but one of our favorite gifts used to be tickets to our local mountain…you can’t go wrong with more days to ride!
73. Multi-Resort Snowboard or Ski Passes
For those who prefer to ride at a variety of resorts, a pass that gives them access to multiple resorts could be the best fit. Aside from the big passes like Ikon and Epic, the Indy Pass is more affordable and gives you two days access to each of their (more than 100!!) resorts.
