Best Snowboarding Gifts Under $25

1. Rub-on Snowboard Wax

One Ball Jay F1 Rub-On Wax
Sometimes you need a little wax on the go but don't have the ability to do a hot wax. That's where this rub-on wax from One Ball comes into play. This is an item that goes with us on every snowboarding vacation.

2. Snowboard Wax

One Ball Jay 4WD Wax is one of our favorite hot waxes and we typically keep different temperature wax on hand so we can be prepared for changes in the weather. The one below is perfect for cold temps!

One Ball Jay 4WD Cold Snowboard & Ski Wax

One Ball Jay is one of our top picks for snowboard wax. It comes in several versions (cold, warm, ice cold, etc) to maximize your performance in a variety of conditions. The cold is ideal for temps ranging from 12-23°F (-5 to -11°C).

3. Hand & Foot Warmers

For those prone to cold feet and hands, these hand warmers can be a lifesaver! We also use these for keeping Garrett’s epinephrine at the right temp in the cold, next to our phones when it’s super chilly, and we send them with the kids to clinic in their pockets just in case they need them.

HotHands Hand & Toe Warmers

On extra cold days, hand and toe warmers can be a game changer. We love to keep some of these on hand (pun intended 😜) for our winter adventures.

4. Rechargeable Hand Warmers

A more eco-friendly option than disposable hand warmers, a rechargeable option like this one will stay warm up to 12-hours. Plus, it gets warmer than disposable options.

Hand Warmers Rechargeable

Rechargeable hand warmers like this are a more sustainable option than disposable hand warmers. This model lasts up to 12 hours, has 3 heat settings, and recharges in just a few hours for repeated use.

5. Stomp Pads

I love these Burton Large Scraper Stomp Pads for excellent traction when getting off the lift, but Crab Grab stomp pads (in particular the skate rails) are another house favorite.

Burton Large Scraper Mat Stomp Pad

This is one of my favorite stomp pads. It has a large surface area and the scraper in the middle is awesome to clear snow and ice that cakes underfoot.

Crab Grab Skate Rails Traction Pad Lavender, One Size

An alternate style of stomp pad, these skate rails from Crab Grab are made from a lightweight, rubbery foam materal that provides an excellent amount of grip for getting off the lift, one footed riding, or grabs.

6. Snowboard Tool

It’s never fun to have loose bindings in the middle of a run. 😅 This tool can be tossed in a pocket to make adjustments and tighten screws as needed on the slopes.

7. Collapsible Water Bottle

We love collapsible water bottles like this because they can fit in a jacket pocket, and when they are empty, they take up little to no space.

Hydrapak Collapsible Water Bottle

A collapsible water bottle is something we regularly take with us on the slopes. You can choose to fill it completely or partially to reduce the size it takes up in a jacket pocket, which is ideal for snowboarding. It's lightweight and easy to refill at a water fountain during bathroom or lunch breaks.

8. Wool Socks

Warm socks designed explicitly for snowboarding make a day on the mountain so much better. BurtonStance, and Smartwool are our favorite brands.

We tend to prefer socks that have a specific right and left sock. It seems minor, but when a sock fits each foot perfectly, you’re able to focus on your riding and don’t waste time fiddling with socks. My personal favorites are merino wool or a wool blend becuase they keep my feet much warmer on cold days.

Burton Womens Performance Midweight Sock, Sunrise

These snowboarding socks from Burton are a midweight blend that includes merino wool to reduce odors, retain warmth, and wick moisture.

Burton Mens Performance Midweight Sock

Burton snowboard socks are in regular rotation in our house. The wool blends and snowboard-specific design means you have cushion where you need it and reduced weight where you don't.

9. Neck Gaiters or Buffs

John has his own built-in buff…er, beard. The rest of us, however, need a little something to help cut the cold from our face. 🥶 Buffs are great as neck warmers, but can also be pulled up over your face, to keep warm. We lean towards a light or midweight wool buff on the cool days and polar fleece on the super cold and windy days.

Smartwool Merino 250 Neck Gaiter Black

We love to have a variety of neck gaiters in our arsenal for different temperature days. In addition, it's always nice to have extras if one gets wet or frozen on a snowy day. Merino versions resist odor and provide warmth in a lightweight option.

Airholes are like a buff, but take it one step further and give you a spot to breathe in and out of, keeping you from getting that stuffy feeling…or having them freeze to your face.

Airhole Airtube Ergo Polar

When snowboarding or skiing in the cold, one issue with neck gaiters is that they can become wet with the condensation from your breath (and the snow). Airhole has created a design to combat the wet build-up that then freezes on your gaiter 🥶. With this innovative design, you have a mouth hole to direct your breath in and out of to reduce the accumulation of moisture. While not a perfect solution, I can attest that it does make a difference.

10. Beanies

Beanies are a must for winter adventures! We wear them to and from the mountain, around the lodge, and basically all winter.

There are so many great options, but we are never disappointed with our Volcom snow gear and we also love the options below.

Dakine Standard Andy Merino Beanie

This merino beanie from Dakine is a great classic option and fit with the warmth of wool. It comes in multiple colors and is one size fits most.

Grace Eleyae Women's Adjustable Winter Warm Satin Lined Beanie

When it comes to beanies, many of them can be rough on hair. With my 3a-3b curls, I really notice a lot more frizz and dryness with standard beanies. That's why I often reach for my satin-lined beanie from Grace Eleyae, especially if I plan to take the beanie off in public. 😆

11. Tuning Kit

Dakine Deluxe Tune Tuning Kit Black

For maintaining snowboards at home, a tuning kit is an essential piece of gear. This kit comes with lots of tools to keep gear in top shape: an edge tuning tool, file, wire cleaning brush, metal scraper, wax scraper, P-Tex, scuff pad, and more.

12. Kids’ Ninja Suit Baselayer

If you’re buying for a little grom, these base layers are our go-to. They come in many different colors and patterns and the kids love them!

AIRBLASTER Ninja Suit Kids

One of the baselayers we keep coming back to over and over is the Airblaster Ninja Suit, especially for the kids. It's one-piece, super comfortable, easy to get on and off, and has a zipper at the waist for easy bathroom trips. Our kids are huge fans of the fun designs as well - pizza suit anyone?!

13. Snowboard Boot Bag

Make packing up for a day at the mountain easier with this boot pack. There’s room for boots, gloves, helmet, lunch, and more in this awesome bag….we love it so much that we have four! When we upgraded to individual snowboard bags for our gear, it was a game-changer. It’s one of the best options to keep your gear organized, and carry everything from boots to an extra base layer.

Dakine Boot Pack DLX 75L

We're huge proponents of everyone having their own gear bag. This one from Dakine makes it easy to carry everything needed for a day on the slopes. With multiple pockets, it's easy to keep everything organized and make sure you're not forgetting anything important.

Stoke Tip: Organize every family member's bag the same. For instance, socks on the left, gloves on the right, hat and helmet in the top. That way, it's easy to tell at a glance if anyone is missing the essentials.

14. Tuning Vises

North Snowboard Tuning Vise

A set of tuning vises is a great tool to help get your boards ready for the slopes - whether you're waxing or holding them in place for other board maintenance.

15. Boot Dryer

DryGuy DX Forced Air Gear & Boot Dryer

For multiple days in a row on the slopes, a boot dryer makes things so much easier. We love this option from Dry Guy because we can dry four items at once. No lingering moisture the next day makes for a much more pleasant experience!

16. Waterproof Hoody

For those warm spring days on the slopes, a hoody made from waterproof fabric is an awesome idea!

686 Waterproof Hoody - Water & Weather Resistant

We all have multiple hoodies that we wear throughout the season, but John has also had a water-resistant hoodie for several years that is one of his favorites. This waterproof option from 686 comes in a bunch of color options and even has a zipper pocket, adjustable cuffs, inner thumb holes, a pass pocket, and more!

17. Women’s Ninja Suit Baselayer

I know I already mentioned these for the youth, but the adult version is completely worth it, too. Every single one of us has at least two of these. They are hands-down, our favorite baselayer. When you click the links, check around at different sizes and color options, and you may even find a killer deal. We’ve gotten some as low as $30 when we were lucky!

Airblaster Merino Ninja Suit - Women's

The merino Ninja Suit from Airblaster is a comfy baselayer perfect for snowboarding and other winter adventures. Plus, it makes pretty awesome PJ's for camping. 😉

18. Puffy Skirt

After a day of riding, a puffy skirt is a great way to stay warm around town and on the way home on cold winter deals. I have one like this from Skhoop, and it is incredibly toasty.

Skhoop Kari Mini Skirt

I love a warm down skirt over a baselayer, especially on snowboarding days. Once my snowboarding bibs, or pants, come off I love layering on a skirt for the ride home, dinner, or any other activities we have planned for the day. Cute and functional!

19. GoPro

It’s so much fun to take video and pictures of your days on the slopes and the GoPro action camera is pretty much the best option out there. It is built to take a beating, stand up to the weather, and takes incredible footage. Plus, they have several different ways to mount the camera to make it easy to capture video.

GoPro HERO12 Black

The Hero 12 Black is the newest model from GoPro that captures HDR video in 5.3k and 4k, improves thermal performance, and has upgraded video stabilization.

20. Snowboards

No one complains about adding another board to their quiver! We are huge fans of Gnu, Jones, LibTech, and Never Summer around here. For toddlers and little ones who are just learning, we love the Burton Riglet.

21. Snowboarding Boots

A comfortable pair of boots is worth it’s weight in gold. Though, this one can be a bit hard to shop for, unless you already know exactly what your rider likes. That said, most companies have excellent return policies, especially around the holidays, and even if they aren’t perfect, it really is the thought that counts.

For a good starting point, that won’t disappoint, these are the best boots I’ve ever owned and John has a pair of these from a few years ago that he LOVES.

22. Snowboarding Jacket

This is hands down my favorite jacket I’ve ever had (John loves this one – and it’s on sale right now!), but if you want more guidance we have an entire article on choosing the perfect jacket for cold weather. Regardless, make sure it has thumb loops. Seriously. I know it sounds silly, but it’s a dealbreaker for me now. It makes getting your gloves and layers just right so. much. easier.

23. Backcountry Snowboard Gear

If you know an advanced skier or rider, they may be ready to branch into backcountry skiing or riding. Things like a beacon, probe, and shovel would make a great gift idea to keep them safe in the backcountry.

24. Snow Goggles & Helmet

A good pair of goggles is the best thing for visibility on the slopes. When I upgraded a couple years ago, it was night and day the difference it made. However, a couple things to keep in mind is that typically goggles should be tried on with a helmet to ensure you don’t have a gap and that the safest helmets have MIPS. Thankfully, you can find options that are paired to fit perfectly.

25. Lift Tickets or Season Passes

One of the biggest investments snowboarders make each year are lift tickets or season passes. Snag your snow loving friendsingle day tickets or season access at their local mountain or a collective pass, such as Indy Pass or Ikon.

Final Thoughts on the Best Gifts for Snowboarders

No matter your budget, we hope you’ve found the perfect present on this list of gifts for the adventurous snowboarder in your life.

Still stumped? A gift card to REI or evo may be the perfect choice.

Or, if not, they might find splitboarding gear or a pow surfer just as awesome! And, for an even more unique gift, grab them a DIY Throwback Snowboard.

Before we started buying season passes during spring sale, one of our favorite gifts to receive were lift tickets to our local mountain…the more days to ride, the better!

If you still have no clue which of these is the best snowboarding gift for someone on your list, feel free to reach out or comment below and we’ll be happy to help!
