I’ve rounded up the best Black Friday outdoor gear deals for you!
I’ll be updating this post regularly with new deals as I hear about them so be sure to check back! (Tip: Bookmark or pin this page so it’s easy to find!)
Many outdoor gear brands have a love-hate relationship with Black Friday deals. And, I’m kinda with them. I’d rather encourage you to go on a hike or hang out with your fam than spend all your time shopping.
BUT I also know that once you fall in love with the outdoors, adventuring in all weather means you do need to invest in quality gear.
And, that statement about ““no bad weather, only bad gear”? It’s spot on. Without the quality gear I’ve invested in, I know I’d be spending a LOT more of our Pacific Northwest winters inside.
After spending years adventuring in the outdoors and testing out a ton of different outdoor gear, I’ve learned what’s worth spending your money on – and what you should skip.
So to help you shop the sales and save as much as possible (so you have more $$ to travel and adventure), I’ve scoured the best outdoor gear deals for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to bring you my top picks.

Burton
When it comes to the best Burton snowboard gear, there are a lot of great choices. But, some of our favorites are these:
- I LOVE my Kimmy 2L Bib Pant! My only complaint is that to get them to fit my hips (thanks, kids), I needed to go up a size, and they are a bit long. But it looks like Burton listened to all of us in the same boat, and they now make the Kimmy in a short, regular, and long. The waterproof and breathability ratings on these pants are fantastic. This article shares more about how to choose the best snow pants and can help you decide if the 2L or 3L versions are best for you.
- But one of our favorites to purchase from Burton has been their Kids’ Gear. They understand what is essential in kids’ snow gear (and what parents need). From jackets to coats and boots, they make quality snow gear for kids that lasts. My favorite part, though? They build in a Room-to-Grow system to extend the sleeves and legs of outerwear, and some of their boots also have a Room-to-Grow footbed to gain a full size as kids grow. 🙌
KEEN Shoes
We have always been a fan of KEEN, especially for our kids’ hiking shoes. They regularly make it through both kids or have plenty of life left to resell.
In particular, we love that their sandals are washable! All four of us have sandals from KEEN, and they were in regular use all summer long for camping, hiking, paddleboarding, and days at the river or lake. Over the years, the Newport Sandals have been a style we have bought repeatedly as the kids outgrew them, but honestly they’ve loved them all.
Roofnest Rooftop Tents
The Roofnest Falcon XL has been great on our Scout Kenai. It's perfect for the kids to sleep in and is easy to set up and take down - our kids can both do it themselves now!
We have a Roofnest Falcon XL on our Scout Kenai, and we love how easy it is to set up and how comfortable the bed is. It’s also surprisingly roomy. Our kids sleep with more than enough room, and we could even put all 4 of us in the tent in a pinch.
They currently have up to $1000 off tents and 25% off accessories!
Rumpl Blankets
😉
And if you’re looking for something different than blankets, Rumpl also makes ground cover mats, towels, and more.
And they’re offering 25% off sitewide plus free shipping – which makes me wonder if I need another one. 🤔
Amazon
Over the years, we’ve also found some great outdoor gear deals on Amazon. They regularly have sales and events like Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Prime Day, but we’ve found good deals all year round!
Black Friday Adventure Travel Deals
Travel and adventure often go hand in hand, so I’ve also included a few of my favorite travel deals for you below. Besides, you need somewhere to to now that you have all your gear, right? 😉
Escape Campervans
If you’ve been around for a bit, you know we’ve loved testing out van life by renting a couple of campervans. We haven’t used Escape Campervans specifically, but we love campervans and a rental is a great way to try them out!
Can’t find the dates you wanted or looking for a little different setup? Try Outdoorsy. They aren’t running any deals that we could find, but you can find a couple of our favorite campervan rental companies on there. We took a campervan from Wandervans to Yellowstone a couple of years ago, and we’ve done a couple of trips in the PNW with ROAMERICA.
Hotels.com
I love using Hotels.com to book our hotels. We regularly find great deals, plus I love earning One Key rewards for future travel (you also earn One Key rewards on Expedia and VRBO bookings!)
Black Friday Deals on Travel & Outdoor Adventure Apps
AllTrails Pro Membership
AllTrails+ is a great app to plan and navigate on your hikes. I love using it to start my research on nearby trails!
If you’ve been considering a membership to
AllTrails is our go-to app for starting our trail research. I love the search filters that allow me to filter by distance, difficulty, and popularity. One of the biggest perks, in my opinion, is the ability to see recent reviews from other hikers. I like to scan the reviews for recent trail conditions, especially as we enter fall and winter, so we can be as prepared as possible. These features are all available in the free version, which is awesome on it’s own.
BUT…
The AllTrails Pro Membership gives you the ability to search trails based on distance from your current location along with several valuable safety features. 🙌 These are some of the key benefits of
- Downloadable & printable maps: You can download maps to your phone so you can see your location, even offline. In addition, you have the ability to print out maps ahead of time so you always have a backup of your route.
- Off-route notifications: When you start using the Navigator, you’ll get notifications if you veer off course.
- Lifeline: This is the
AllTrails Pro feature I’m most excited about. Lifeline tracks your location in real-time to keep you safe. You can share details, such as a map of your route, when you plan to return, etc. with your designated safety contacts. You’ll be able to update them with a tap during your trek. Don’t make it back when planned? Lifeline lets your safety contacts know and shares your last known location. Note: While this feature does require a data connection to communicate with your contacts, it’s still a great backup to have in place even if your planned route takes you out of signal. Even if you don’t have a GPS signal, if you don’t make it back by the time you planned, your safety contacts will still be alerted with your last traceable location. They can then assess the situation and refer that information to emergency services or search and rescue if needed. - Real-time map details: Check weather, air quality, pollen, and more before you head out so you are prepared for the conditions. You’ll also be able to check user heatmaps to help you know how popular your chosen trail is.
- No ads: Always a perk!
- Giving back to nonprofits:
AllTrails participates in 1% for the Planet. 🙌🙌
Harvest Hosts RV Camping Membership
